Almost everyone has heard stories of the “Freshman 15”. Supposedly, students go off to college, and come back after the first year 15 pounds heavier. But does this actually happen? To determine if this is a fact, or just a college urban legend, I am conducting an anonymous survey. The questions in this survey will gather information on eating and exercise habits, as well as the weight difference after a year in college. The results of this survey will be used to help determine if there is a problem, and how one can avoid a problem in the future. As an RA next year, I will be able to use the results to provide suggestions to my residents as to how they can avoid gaining the “Freshman 15”. If you're interested in helping out with my survey, (and helping me get credit in my Soc 220 class for doing it!) please go to this link:

The "Freshman 15"

The survey is anonymous and confidential, and takes less than 15 minutes to fill out. If you're a Freshman, think of this past school year, and if you're older, think back to your Freshman year and answer with that in mind.
