The wait is almost over! Film Club's biggest event of the year, the UW Student Film Festival, begins at 7:00 pm tonight in the HUB Auditorium!
We have collected the latest and greatest short films created by University of Washington students, and compiled them into a program of action, drama, comedy, animation, experimental, and the indescribable.
Watch a unique view on the battle of the sexes in Alex Jones' "Guerilla Nilla." Be amazed by the gorgeous special effects in Justin Kim's "Light Saber Duel." Hold close the one dear to you in Scott Pawley's touching short, "True Love Waits." Chuckle at the complete day of a man timelapsed into 60 seconds in David Midgen's and Mark Howell's "My Day Off."
A record breaking 27 short films have been compiled (our largest show ever) for the two hour program. Admission, as always, is free and open the public. We have prizes and goodies, including packets of tickets to SIFF films and memberships to IFP, and there will be a Q & A afterwards with the filmmakers.
Things get started at 7:00 pm in the HUB Auditorium (doors at 6:45).
We suggest arriving a bit early.
