HONOR'S LOUNGE

So I was in Mary Gates today (I decided to actually attend class) and on the second floor, right past the main stairway I see this room. On the outside of this room there is a sign. It says Honor’s Lounge.

Then these two guys go to the door. One takes out a credit-card looking card and swipes it in this reader. Him and his friend go into the room.

IS THIS A SPECIAL, LOCKED ROOM JUST FOR HONORS STUDENTS?

What the heck is going on here? Are they too good to hang out with normal people? Will normal intelligence wear off on them? I am sure they are smart and get good grades, but does they mean they get their own room?

And why does the room need to be locked? Do they have a big fear of normal people? The UW has many rooms with thousands of dollars of equipment and they aren’t locked.

Please someone tell me this isn’t the case! If so I want an Normal’s Lounge (preferably locked, but not required), where no Honor's people can get in (or sub-normal people).

(I hope no one thinks I am really that upset about this, I find it very amusing if this is true!)
