Cute story about fundraising at UW and how the bells came back to Gerberding.

I, am glad to have real bells back...it really sounds better. And they're teaching the guy to play them! Precious!

Subject:state employee wages

I know it's been posted before but I couldn't find it in the memories. Where's the website that lists individual state employees and their wages? I'm debating some things at work and I wanted to impress them by whipping the numbers right up. Thanks in advance!

Subject:America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses commercials
Time:3:40 pm.
Has anyone in Seattle or WA bought glasses at America's Best Eyeglasses Store?

I've seen tv commercials for them (twopair.com) and they have an ongoing deal of two pairs of frames including lenses for $69.99 and they offer a free eye exam to boot. It seems too good to pass up but I wanted to see if anyone had personal experience purchasing from them. All I've found is a review on Yelp for the Lynnwood store and the reviewer was not impressed, mostly because of the customer service. I have my own eye doctor since I don't really trust chain stores to mess with my eyes, so I'm not really concerned with the eye exam, just the glasses part. thx for any info and snark away!

Subject:Seattle-area poetry slams/open mics, etc?
Time:9:14 pm.
Hey Guys,

Does anyone know about any good Seattle-area poetry slams or open mics? I have a friend who is itching to share her creative voice with the world but doesn't know where to start. Any suggestions would be awesome and appreciated. :)
