Women Studies

I tried this a while back and was unsuccessful, so I thought I'd give it another shot.

Is anyone here enrolled in Women Studies or Human Rights undergrad majors or minors? Even taking any classes in those areas? If you aren't, could you possibly refer me to someone who might be willing to answer a couple of questions from a possible transfer student about the programs?

Also, I posted something similar in the Seattle community, but for those of you who are living off-campus, about how much should I expect to pay for housing there (either a tiny studio or a room in a shared house, not a crackhouse, relatively safe area to walk around alone at night and not too far outside of the city). I'm going to try hard not to get ripped off- but it seems it happens all to often to out-of-staters. Thinking of moving in August.

Thank you so much to anyone who can give me some input. Hope you all are well.

Hey guys.

A friend of mine is doing research regarding the financial planning industry. It'd be great if you could take it, and pass the link on to others. Thanks for your help!

computer lab question

Are there any computers in any of the open labs on campus where one can unload images from a camera's memory card?

My mom lost the family camera's cord and she now just uses her printer to load images onto the computer. But as I live in the U-District and my printer does not come with 5 different card slots I'm in a bit of a lurch when I borrow the digital camera. I'm hoping in the time since this memory the technology has been updated somewhere for those of us with memory cards to be able to just walk up and download. Yes? No? Maybe so?

Hello Knitters--

I'm working on a project, more specifically a knitting magazine, and I would love to hear your feelings on why (or if) you buy knitting magazines and books, and why you knit.

If you feel like sharing, please fill out my survey. I will be eternally grateful, and hopefully meet some fellow craftters!

Thanks for helping me out!

Plastic bags

Is there anywhere in the U District they recycle plastic bags? I know stores in Yakima sometimes had big bins to collect them, but I can't ever remember seeing any in Seattle. And the bags are really starting to pile up. It would be a big help!
