(no subject)

Alright UW community, I need your assistance because I really don't care anymore and I need others to vote on a decision for me. Here's my situation:

I currently live at home with my parents and commute to UW everyday for classes and the three jobs I have on campus. I really didn't want to take summer quarter this year. I have for the past two years, and I only need a couple more credits to graduate so I think it's unnecessary. Besides, I need a break or whatever. My problem is that I've become completely dependent on my UPass. I love it so. But if I don't enroll in any classes for summer quarter, I don't get one. I saw somewhere online where you can get a UPass if you audit a class, but again, I don't want to do anything class-related. And my employer would prefer not to go through the process to hire me as regular staff instead of a student assistant, so the FLEXPass isn't an option either.

So here are my choices:
Enroll in three credits of 499 research, pay tuition, and get my UPass.
Pro: more research experience is always good
Con: Cost approximately $633
Just suck it up and pay for bus rides.
Pro: Most likely cheaper.
Con: I can't flash my UPass like I'm an FBI agent while getting on the bus anymore.
Run away to Bermuda.
Pro/Con: I wouldn't come back.

Any other options or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have to do a bit of shameless promotion. If you would like to help me with a study I'm doing for a term paper, please click here and fill out a survey (it should only take about 5-7 minutes). Thank you in advance for anyone who participates, I'll love you forever and you'll help keep me sane!

Thanks again.
