Subject:Do you take bus 272 to Bellevue? IMPORTANT
Time:8:26 am.
Metro is proposing to drop the 5pm UW->Bellevue trip from bus route 272, meaning during the quarter, you'd have to leave UW, leaving late afternoon trips only at 3:30, 4:40, or 5:30. If you ride the 272 you know this is a decently busy bus -- even though they've already arranged the schedule to make it difficult for anyone who works full-time in the U District to use -- that travels through older neighborhoods, apartments, and student-inhabited areas of Belleuve near BCC. Removing the trip that leaves UW when most staff get off work could have negative impact on ridership levels, meaning convenient morning routes might end up in danger.

Don't let Metro reduce bus service to the UW!

Metro has only provided a few days notice about the comment period for this potential change! If you have an opinion, please take a few minutes to contact Metro. You can help by:

Subject:Queer Women's Book Club
Time:12:37 pm.
To all queer women and literature lovers,

I am helping to organize a Queer Women's Book Club. We will most likely read a mix of fiction and non-fiction by queer authors or with queer themes, but that may change depending on the interests of the group. Our first meeting (to decide upon a few books, pick a regular time/place, and discuss other logistics) will be on Wednesday, January 24th at 5 pm. Email me at drum.hound@gmail.com for the location.
You can also join the mailing list:

There is also a Queer Men's Book Club being organized via the CampusQ mailing list.
