Subject:Jumping the gun much?
Time:9:50 am.
Mood: hopeful.
Hey everyone,

I'm caught in a dilemma. I really really want to go through the graduation ceremony since I never got to do mine in high school and I'm doing a double degree. But I recently heard that with the amount of people graduating they don't even have you go up to the stage and do the whole handshake tassal flip thing, is this true? Because if so I'm not so sure it's worth it to just go stand-up and wave when it's my turn. I've heard it can be at least 4 hours long.

So what's all your input? Are those rumors true? Is it worth it? I don't think either of my departments have a 'graduation' and I don't think my parents would attend the glbt graduation so the big one's pretty much my only option.

Thanks!

Chris

PS: I know I have MONTHS to think about this since we're only 3 weeks into Fall Quarter but this is my 5th year and thinking about graduating is about the only thing still getting me through :)

Subject:Woah, Treasure Hunt!
Time:6:22 pm.
So, I open up my browser today and see some weird poem thing on the washington.edu page and then read further into it and find out that the Pacific Science Center and the Seattle Times are having a contest about trying to find a medallion placed somewhere in seattle and some UW professors helped to make the clues.

So, yeah, what's cool about that, umm, 2500 dollars if you find it! That seemed pretty cool to me. I just thought I let you guys know in case you are also into treasure hunting.

Here's a link to the contest rules..

And here's the Seattle Times link with the first clue..

So yeah, if one of you finds it be sure to throw me a dollar for letting you know about it. ;)

I know this has been asked before, but I don't recall the solution and its not in the memories, where can I borrow a g4 powerbook/ ibook charger? Is there anyone in the area who will let me borrow it tonight? I can do an Odegaard meeting or anything close to campus.
