Happy Dorm Thoughts

What is this? This is me looking at the dorm rates and thinking it's a tad bit spendy. I don't know how many other people calculate this kind of stuff out, but take a look at it and you might find some interesting/apalling information that might influence your decision in the coming years about where you live. As you can see, my pro/con list at the bottom is a bit biased, so please give me extra input if you do like the dorms :) If you're at all interested in rates on rooms/apartments, check out (to my eye rooms are around 400$ - 500$, utilities included is hit or miss), and play with the filters for prices and any specifics you may want. Also helpful is , which is craigslist on googlemaps.

Important note: I used the 2006 - 2007 rates. Not all quarters are actually three months, which is how I calculated monthly payment. In fact, most of these are low because I divided the quarterly payment by 3. Autumn quarter = 2 months + 2 weeks, Winter quarter = 3 months, and Spring quarter = 2 months + 2 weeks.

Another option is the Steven's Court Apartments. It's 571$ per room, and I think four rooms per apartment, all utilities (including phone) included. Benefits of this? This is still close to campus, and it's actually a charge per month, not quarter, and you don't get kicked out during breaks. Still, high for the area.

Freshman with a question

I apologize if this is a stupid quesiton, but they weren't too clear on it at the Advising & Orientation.

When and where do I get my Husky Card? I'm from Hawaii, and I believe I heard them say it would be mailed to me. Is that correct?

Thanks! :)

this is inappropriate, but y'all are good sports

So a friend just got back from 4 months of being a counselor at a bible camp, and we decided to have little-to-no class and kidnap her and bring her to a male strip club to rid her all that good karma she's worked so hard to build up.

Anybody know of any good male strip clubs? Centerfolds I've heard is good, but they're "ladies only." I doubt they'd take the "but I don't really *want* to see" as a viable excuse to let me in.

Anywhere in the greater Seattle area is a-okay.

Thanks, all.

"The Way You Like It" by Adema

So I decided to follow the trend and go looking up my books on; I went to the UW Bookstore website for the ISBN's.
I had a great deal of trouble finding them at one point, and now I find that Amazon can't find a single one of the ISBN's. It finds my books if i do a title and author search, but I'm concerned about getting the right edition.

What do I do? :(

The Postal Service - Nothing Better

(no subject)

Hey, I'm interested in making an Italian club, or Irish club, or some sort of European descent club through the SAO/RSO and I was just wondering if there are any other people interested. It would be a pretty simple thing, just a way to meet people, maybe do some cultural stuff if theres interest. Perhaps club dinners or something?
