Subject:AUT06: HUM 201 + PSYCH 250
Time:9:50 am.
Alright, I checked the memories, and I know this is a bit early but I wanna figure it out asap..:

Any comments/recommendations for HUM 201- INTRO HUMANITIES w/ Goering and/or PSYCH 250- RACISM&MINORITY GRP w/ Barrett? This is for Fall quarter, not Summer. I also looked up the Course Evals and both received high 3's and 4's but they were under a different professor's name.

THANKS!!!

Subject:DARFEST: An arts festival to raise awareness
Time:10:03 am.
This evening there will be an arts festival held to raise awareness of the ongoing genocide in Darfur, Sudan. According to the Save Darfur Washington State website:

The evening will include music, dance and spoken word performances, and visual arts, conveying the facts and impacts of the situation in Darfur through art and educational displays. Highlighted artists include the Southern Sudanese Community of Washington, a Seattle-based organization, who will share traditional dancing, drumming, and crafts. In addition, student performers and visual artists will share recent works in a festive and productive environment. There will also be opportunities to educate yourself about the many dimensions of the conflict with materials from different organizations.

With an estimated 400,000 deaths already, and 2.5 million persons displaced, the situation in Darfur is critical. (Figures from Save Darfur Coalition website). Please attend to learn about Darfur, and how the genocide can be stopped.

Admission is $5 for students, $7 for other community members, all of which goes directly to support the ongoing relief efforts of Doctors Without Borders in Darfur.

The festival will be held in the HUB East Ballroom (on the second floor), and runs from 6-10 PM.

Subject:Got fish?
Time:4:35 pm.
I've posted things like this in the past. Some of you out there bought goldfish, bettas, or possibly other kinds of fish to keep in your dorm rooms this year. You've lost interest in your fish, haven't you? You can't remember to feed them, or to change their water. Even now they are sitting in dirty little bowls with half the original volume of water left, bowls full  of ammonia and algae and scummy brown dried-on waste...and you don't particularly care. So rehome them with me, already. I have hundreds of gallons of tropical and coldwater tanks in my apartment and I can handle just about any kind of fish you might have. So if you're sick of staring at your poor little fish and feeling vaguely sorry for it, leave me a comment and we'll find a time and place to meet on campus for the transfer.

Time:9:46 pm.
so im an international student. and im doing EFS but the only time i can come for A&O is aug 17-18th for the two day general session. i dont wanna stay on campus cause im coming with my cousin so might as well stay in a hotel room which provides food.

any reccomendations for good cheap/reasonable hotels near UW that provide good bus services so i can get to UW. im planning on flying in on the 17th and going straight to the a&o (i can handle jet lag) and then staying in a hotel til the morning of the 20th when i can move into my efs dorm.

so hotel reccomendations and bus reccomendations too i suppose. thanks.
