I bought books for Womens' Studies for spring quarter and then dropped the class. . . I bought used books so I can't return them to the bookstore, correct? If anyone's interested:
When I Was Puerto Rican by Santiago - $5
Our Bodies Ourselves - $15
anybody else enjoy the daily today? i got a chuckle out of the free speech friday, particularly the one from the greek system.
What have been people's experiences with taking language classes in the summer? I'm debating taking Japanese this summer. I don't need it for a requirement, per se, but I've got a research project that would be a bit easier, if I had a grasp of the language. I'm not adverse to work, and I took Latin last summer and had a blast. I'll probably take it pass/no credit, so I don't care about getting an easy 4.0. For those who've taken langauges this way, was it worth it? And how insane was the workload? I don't mind putting effort in, but I have no tolerance for bullshit busywork since passing my comps.
