Econ 201 again

I recently asked what you guys thought about a big lecture for econ 201 vs the smaller ta sections... I just found out that CHEN, C was teaching the Econ small section class I signed up for. Anyone know him/her? I looked at the course evaluation catalog already... Just wondering if anyone had any input. Thanks so much!!

Hey, somehow I still have the nifty little "media guide" for Zumdahl's Chemical Principles (Live Online Tutoring! Molecular Animations! Self-Guided Tutorials!), even though I got rid of the textbook and study guide months ago. If anyone wants it, it's free. Just want it the hell out of my room.

Thanksgiving Town Hall

Hey guys,

The UW chapter of AID (Americans for Informed Democracy) is putting on a cool town hall forum this Tuesday night, Nov. 22nd, addressing the UN Millennium Goals (MGDs) & Global Poverty. We have a terrific line-up of speakers:

BILL GATES SR -- Co-Founder of the Initiative for Global Development
SCOTT JACKSON -- Vice President of World Vision
WOLFRAM LATSCH -- UW Jackson School of International Studies
THOMAS REYNOLDS -- Regional Executive Director of C.A.R.E.

Each speaker will address the MGDs from his own expertise/experience and then we'll open it up for discussion/Q&A. The MGDs cover the basics from lowering infant mortality rates to halving the number of AIDS deaths in the next decade. All 191 member states of the UN pledged their support, but so far, few have acted on their promises. We think it's about time to change that.

The event begins 7:30pm, Smith Rm 120. Get there early to make sure you get a seat! No ticket/pre-registration required.

See you there!!! :-)
