Hi my names Amanda LaPlaca, people call me Lala for kicks! I am originally from Rhode Island (my family's from the Boston area though) but I am currently a freshman at Adelphi University on Long Island, NY. I have decided I want to transfer to school with a stronger art department. I am interested mostly in industrial design, printmaking, and photography. I was curious if anyone can give me some feedback on uwashington on a whole and possibly: the good and bad on its location, difficulty level as far as classes, how friendly people are, if there are things going on all the time, what the feel of the school is. also if anyone is a major in those three things i mentioned before or a transfer, please let me know if you would be willing to answer some questions or tell me how its been for you! All i konw is that long islanders blow (at least most of the ones i've met here lol)
thanks so much!
Does anyone know if the Supercuts on the Ave gives crappy haircuts? Decent? Fabulous?

I've got two passes (each pass admits two) to a special screening of Prime, that new movie with Uma Thurman and Meryl Streep.
It's tonightt at 7pm at the Meridian 16 downtown. (You'll need to get there early cause I'm pretty sure they print more passes than there is space...)
I can't go. Anyone want them? If you can come pick them up from south-west campus, they're yours. Email me at email@example.com... I'll send you details of where to pick them up.
Edit: These have been taken. Thanks!
a body of a 24 year old man was just found on campus. apparently it wasnt a student though....

To the person who found my iPod in Gowen 301 today, and turned it in to the library: You're a wonderful, wonderful person and I have a candy bar with your name on it! Or cookies. Or brownies. Whatever you prefer. Hopefully you're on livejournal and can claim you reward. Thank you so much.
