Odegaard computers

Does anyone know if any of the other campus labs have plans to, like Odegaard did, upgrade to computers without Zip drives/floppy drives? (I'm in a situation where I can't really use a flash drive or burnable CDs for transfering stuff.) Thanks.

Where can I get one of those student planners that they give freshmen at orientation?

edit: They are:
1. Not in the HUB UBS, so probably not in the other one either
2. At the HUB newsstand, but behind the counter- you have to ask for them
3. $9
4. Really handy!

Lab coat to borrow?

Does anyone in the McMahon area have a (preferablly small but medium would do) lab coat that i could borrow for a lab on thursday from 6:30 - 9:20 pm? Size small lab coats are sold out at the UW bookstore, but they are supposed to come in on Friday. Thanks so much!

Okay, here's my issue: I'm going to be working for SAAS as a tutor, and the place I have to get to is down past the IMA (Conibear Shellhouse, apparently also known as the crew house). I live on 22nd & 46th and really am not a fan of walking all that way in the dark - which is when I'd be going there and back.

My question is this: Is there some kind of monthly/quarterly parking pass you can get that is cheaper than paying each day? I'm not sure how much parking down there is, but I've heard it's cheaper at Montlake than at the lot right by the building. I'd rather pay a cheaper monthly or whatever fee than pay every day.

OR is there a bus that goes there? Which bus route, and where would I catch it?

Any help would be great. I didn't really know where else to look or who to ask, so thank you in advance!

Ad hoc

Hello dear UW community,

I would like to address mainly the honors students who have livejournals, but the regular students can definitely help me out even if you don't really know what ad hoc is.
I would like to make a drama class as ad hoc, meaning that I would take drama 251 and do an extra project that would allow me to make it count as an honors class.
Anybody have any ideas of a good project that would take a lot of time, and that would be drama related, especially acting.

So far I only have one idea, write a long monologue. But it sounds really llame. Help please!

Sorry to post twice in one day, but is anyone still looking for a place to live? We have a room open in a four-bedroom two-bathroom apartment on 46th & 22nd. We're all female UW students looking for a fourth female roommate, non smoker and without pets. We have a parking garage if you have a car, and the rent is around $365 a month plus utilities. We've had a hell of a time filling this room - the original roommate didn't move in for personal reasons, the next girl decided she dislikes the terms of the lease (it's for twelve months, not ten, but you can sublet if you wish), and now we're looking again. It's a semi-small room, but all bedroom furniture will fit - plus it's the only room in the apartment with screens in the window (exciting, I know). Send an email to if you have any questions or are interested. We're looking for someone to move in ASAP so come see the place! Thanks.

P.S. Yes, we do have an add on craigslist! So no one send me there. :P
