Cinema on the Lawn

Looking for something fun to do tonight?

Come see Waiting For Guffman (1996) at the South Lake Union Cinema on the Lawn outdoor movie series.

The movie is located on the lawn at the South Lake Union Discovery Center, on the corner of Westlake and Denny. There is plenty of parking in the area! Bring your low-backed chairs, your picnic basket and your friends and family (no alcohol please). Take in a great movie under the stars.

We'll have a hot-dog stand as well! Your $5 donation tonight will benefit KEXP. The movie will begin at about 9:30 p.m. (Get there early to grab a good spot!)

This incoming freshmen class is LAME

So I was selected to continue taking the series of drug and alcohol surveys that make up the College Transitions Project. I got some results from it and thought you all may be interested in some of these tantalizing tidbits. Also, I wanted to give everyone a heads-up on how easy it will be to corrupt the freshman class once they arrive. Well, without further ado, here's some excerpts:

80% will be living away from home for the first time
10% have never done a load of laundry
65% will be working during the school year
49% play a musical instrument
73% played high school athletic sports

During the last three months, you used marijuana or hashish on 8 days.
The most joints or bowls you had in one day was 7 joints/bowls over the course of 2 hours.
Compared to other incoming college students, your percentile rank is 95. This means that you use marijuana on as many or more days than 95 percent of incoming UW students.

Looks to me like my freshman class will seriously experience some "college transitions" am i rite?
