Subject:Noise for the Needy
Time:12:33 am.
hey everyone! i'm a volunteer at the ROOTS young adult shelter (located behind in the post office in the basement of the big church on 43rd) and i just wanted to let everyone know about benefit concerts going on all week at various clubs and bars around seattle to show support for the homeless shelter. please visit http://www.nadamucho.com/Music_409.html for more info about times, bands, and venues. for more info about the shelter go to http://udsp.org/root (we could always use new volunteers!).  and to make this somewhat uw related, i think that all students should care about the environment around the u-district and help to improve it.  thanks for your time!

Are there any practicing buddhists on campus? if not now, then this fall? I'd be interested in trying to get a small meditation group going.

I'm a would-be transfer student who applied late last December for Fall 2005. I continued to check myUW pretty obsessively every day, but the status of my application had not changed since February 22nd. Until today. Today it said the status had changed, though of course it didn't say whether or not I'd been accepted or rejected.

Along with this occurance, I received an e-mail thanking me for beginning my Winter 2006 application. I haven't actually started one. What I'm wondering is, does this mean I have been rejected for the fall? Or maybe I've been waitlisted? To me it sounds a lot like a rejection, but I really have no idea. Did this ever happen to anyone else? I'll probably call admissions tomorrow to see what I can find out, but I wanted to see if anyone had had this experience.
