I know the registration posts are getting old. Please disregard this if your not interested.

A class I planned on taking is almost surely going to be filled up by my date, so I am looking into my other options. I need a third class to pair with CSE 143 and MATH 124 (basically, either something very different or maybe taking it easy, even a 3 credit) I need information on the following classes-

-MUSAP 218 Guitar Techniques
What is this? Does this mean I can essentially take guitar lessons for credit? Help, music majors.

-PSYCH 200 Comp Animal Behavior
Anyone taken it? Sounds interesting.

-PSYCH 210 Human Sexuality
Probably sounds more interesting than it is..

-TC 231 Intro Tech Writing
Listed as 3 credits, but I'm wondering if the workload would really be that light. I know a lot of people here must have taken it, since all pre-engineers have to..I think?

-CLIT 424 Epic Tradition
Don't want to get in over my head, but sounds intersting..

-RELIG 443 Art/Religion in Byzantium
Any info appreciated

-ASTR 211 Universe and Change
Any info appreciated

Choirs and voice lessons and the UW

I would really like to be in a choir this quarter, but I will not be able to be in the University Singers as I have done in the past because of schedule conflicts. Unfortunately, I haven't been in a choir since last spring quarter so my voice is a bit out of shape (my range isn't as big as it used to be and my breathing is not as deep). I'm curious about the choirs that require auditions. Can anyone recommend to me a choir that isn't insanely hard to get into? What are the auditions like? Do you have to prepare anything? Do they expect you to sight read?

A bit more about myself in terms of singing: I'm a second soprano although I have sung first alto and first soprano in choirs before. I've been in choirs all my life but I've never been formally trained and I still can't sight read. I'm also shy about singing alone in front of people generally, but I really love singing in choirs and have been told I have a nice voice. I'm just kind of worried that the kind of choirs that require an audition aren't really for me.

Also, I've heard that the UW offers voice lessons. Does anyone have more info on that?

Thanks a lot!

Nothing too exciting, sorry, feel free to not read a word

I'm dying .. of anticipation! Alright, sorry.. but I'm just wondering if anyone here applied for a position as a Peer Advisor this summer, or knows someone who did..? I applied for the job, and from what the papers say, we're supposed to know if we got the job or not by this Friday, ahh, I've got a whole lot riding on this... bah, its only Monday night, I dont know how I'll live till friday without exploding.

- oh and BTW, any else get the FIG leader email? I made the cut thus far and I'm just wondering if there are any other possible Fig leaders for fall 05 hanging around LJ

Yet another reg question

I'm a freshman, trying to go into MSE, and the planbook/requirement list/DARS say I have to complete an english comp class from "the approved list." my question is, where do they keep this "approved list?" I know 131 is on the list, but would it be ok to take a VLPA class and an attached ENGL 197 class? I'd really like to take an art history class, but I need to get my english comp in there too- it seems like it would be easier to take the two in a 20 credit quarter if they were together.
