UW business majors should see this film - remember folks, STAKE HOLDER THEORY!

"Stakeholder theory is a critique of the strong stockholder doctrine in U.S. corporation law and financial-economics theory positing that management's clear fiduciary responsibility is to maximize economic rents on behalf of the firm's legal owners (the residual claimants). Strong stockholder doctrine was articulated in Dodge Brothers v. Ford (1919), in which the Michigan Supreme Court ordered Ford Motor Co. to pay a special dividend." In the stockholder model, other stakeholders - particularly employees - do not count.

One hundred and fifty years ago, the corporation was a relatively insignificant entity. Today, it is a vivid, dramatic and pervasive presence in all our lives.

Ok... so I'll be starting my first year of UW come this fall, and I'm trying to figure out what spanish course I should take. I placed into SPAN 103. However, I haven't taken spanish in a little over two years, so I'm wondering if perhaps it would be a good idea to take 110, which apparently is a review of 101 and 102. What would really be a useful bit of information in helping me decide is exactly what type of material is covered in 101 & 102... so I could see if it would just be a waste of time to review it or if it's the type of stuff I could use a little brushing up on. Since I can't seem to find that anywhere on the UW website, perhaps some of you good people could help me out...
