How hard is it to get a premajor extension, per the 105-credit rule?
I'm a freshman right now, but I have a year of running start credits, plus AP credits, etc. etc. which will put me at about 88 credits at the end of this quarter, once they evaluate everything. That means I'll be a freakin' junior by the end of winter quarter.
So, what the hell am I supposed to do? Declare a major RIGHT NOW? I just got here! I want to apply to the business school in April (If I don't, I can't until next April, and I'll be a senior then!), but I only can if I take Accounting 215 winter quarter. And I get shitty registration priority because the system thinks I'm a freshman, so I'm worried I won't get into that class at all. Sonofabitch.
I was wondering if anyone out there has a digital camera that they could let me borrow for, like, an hour. I would really like to have a digital picture or two to put on the web/use as a LJ pic but don't really want to spend hundreds of dollars on a camera.
Alternatively, does anyone know of any other way to get my hands on a camera for not very long? I'd scan a regular picture or two, but the only pictures of me that exist are at home and asking my parents to scan them and email them to me is pointless. It's like asking monkeys to do my German homework.
Anyway, thanks for any help.
Attn all sick UW students: Never go to Hall Health
I'm sicker than I've ever been in my life, and have been for two weeks now. It hurts to breathe because my throat is so raw and sore, and I wheeze really hard at night. An hour before midterm Monday I cough so hard I start puking... so I make an appt with Hall Health.
The doctor comes in, examines me, nods when I tell her my symptoms, and then tells me I have a viral respiratory infection probably made worse by ALLERGIES. I have seasonal allergies and it's dead of winter. She then tells me I should take CLARITIN and some OTC SUDAFED. I tell her I've been taking sudafed for two weeks now with no results. She waves a hand and says "You're just not taking a strong enough dose." I'm dying and falling behind in school and she tells me to take OTC drugs.
Meanwhile a friend of mine when she was this sick got cough syrup with codeine and an inhaler, which she said cleared it right up in a few days. Not to mention a doctor's note for her TAs.
DON'T GO TO HALL HEALTH AND IF YOU DO AVOID THIS REALLY OLD DOCTOR NAMED VANBELLE.
