Registration is like a freaking rat race, and we Freshmen get to crawl through the poop and hair of our upper-class brethren with broken legs. I mostly got what I wanted yesterday, with the exception of Astronomy, which I half-expected I wouldn't get. But this morning, my alarm didn't go off... meaning my roommate and I got up 90 minutes late for registration. Now ALL of the many Math 124 sections are full, and he doesn't know what else to take from the crap that's left. I feel terrible.
After a certain experience last night, I really believe it now:
You can't go home again.
Guess this is home now.
heheh... Wazzu's so stupid
This is from an apology printed in the Daily Evergreen, the WSU newspaper
"The Daily Evergreen would like to sincerely apologize for an injustice served to the Filipino-American, Spanish-speaking, and Catholic communities on the front page of Thursday's Evergreen.
The story 'Filipino-American History Recognized' stated that the Nuestra Senora de Buena Esperanza, the galleon on which the first Filipinos landed at Morro Bay, California, loosely translates to 'The Big-Ass Spanish Boat.' It actually translates to 'Our Lady of Good Peace.'
Parts of the story, including the translation above, were plagiarized from an inaccurate website.
We hope these groups accept our deep regret."
