You might've received an e-mail such as this one (And please comment if you have, I'd like to know if I'm an isolated case or if they like, dug through the student directory or something...):
*edit1-4* I'm gonna throw a guess out there (after about 5 seconds of Googling) that they use the accounts they obtain to send further phishing e-mails, so I removed the name of the person who "sent" me this message. :P
Eh, a commenter posted the name, and I'm not for deleting people's comments, so the name of the person that I got it from is Dale Mintenko, Dale.Mintenko@royalroads.ca Hey, let's face it, the account's garbage now whether or not this Dale is innocent. :P
*edit2-3* It would also seem that my case is NOT isolated, hooray? */edit2-3*
