leggy leggy leggy blondie blondie blondie

Dear UW,
I want to be blonde. I'm a natural dirty blonde and I've been dying my hair various shades of brown (mostly on the darker side). I know going blonde is hard enough on your hair, and since I've been dousing myself in dark hair dye for years, I really don't want to haphazardly fry my hair into oblivion, and would prefer to take my blonde ambitions to a professional. However, I am also a poor college student, and I'd rather not shell out the $60+ for professional colour if I don't really have to.

I'm sure at least a few of you have been to Gene Juarez Academy up in Northgate, because it's hella cheap. So my question to you is, do they also do colour? Or do they just cut for cheap? And if they don't do colour, can any of you recommend a colourist close to the UW that wouldn't charge my monthly food budget? Because I kind of want to eat as well. Thanks!
